"Reindeer Games"

This design is from the 2001 Just Cross-Stitch Ornament Magazine.  It is stitched on 40-count Linen in Pearled Barley from Lakeside Linens.  The outer four-sided stitch and satin stitching is stitched in one strand of DMC cotton floss in white.  The wrapped bars and dove's eyes are stitched in DMC Cordonnet Thread #100 in white.  This ornament was stitched in July 2006.  It took a LONG time.  I would estimate around ten hours.  I love it though!  A challenging piece due to the small linen count. I did the finishing in 2009 with brown silk dupioni and very velvet twisted cording.
