| Candace Bahouth "Fleur-de-Lys" Chair |

The Fleur-de-Lys Pattern This needlepoint design is published in the "Flowers, Birds and Unicorns: Medieval Needlepoint" book. I have another book that explains how to use a piece of fabric to make templates for needlepoint recovering, which you then use to trace on the canvas. I plan on recovering the below chair with the pattern, stitched on canvas with Paternayan Wool threads.
Madeline is about 13 months old in this picture, which was taken in January 2005. I've selected the colors to use on the chair. They are Paternayan wool: 702 Light Gold 732 Dark Gold 421 Dark Brown 967 Burgundy I've also decided on 13-count brown Zweigart Deluxe Mono. I made the fabric pattern of the cushion shape and I need about 2.25 yards of canvas. February 11, 2006 This morning I bought the canvas... I ended up getting 3 yards. Whew! Now to re-measure and cut!
