I have a personal rule that I can't have more than one TW design going on at a time... this is my latest project.

This project took me 174.5 hours, spread out over three years.

You can see that I've altered the border a bit.  On English Garden Sampler there is another border inside the outer border that is the gathered harvest cutwork stitch.  Since I want to hang these two pieces together, I decided to add a cutwork border to Peacock Tapestry.  It will be ten threads high, plus the two threads for the interior cross-stitches.  I won't actually do the cutwork until the entire sampler is finished.  The secondary benefit to adding this cutwork border is that I make the interior image twenty threads smaller in width and height.  I'll work from the peacock outwards, which means I'll just lose the very edges of the design.  The grouse bird at the bottom will still be there!  (I checked.)  That's a lot less cross-stitching to do.  :)

This week I finished up the border, and started the bottom grass and tree trunk.

February 2005 First Week Rotation

This week I finished the bottom grass, the central trees, and started on the peacock body.

Here is a close up of this weeks stitching.  Can you see the little bird in the bottom left corner?

February 2005 Second Week Rotation

This week I finished all the stitching on the peacock.  (Backstitching to be done after I finish the pear leaves.)  I also finished the left side of the branch, and the pear trees below the branch that are printed on the same page as the peacock.

Close up of the top of the peacock.  Aren't the blues vibrant?  The blending filament adds a nice sheen, but doesn't photograph well.

March 2005 First Week Rotation

This week I made a lot of progress on Pear Leaves, finishing two complete pages of leaves.  I think it's so pretty!  We all had the flu this week so I didn't get a ton of stitching time.

More progress on pear leaves this week.  I only have three pages left that have symbols on them I need to stitch!
